Dr. Theresa A. Chika-James

Dr Theresa A. Chika-James is an Associate Professor of Management and Organizational Behaviour. Currently, she serves as an Associate Dean at MacEwan University School of Business with responsibilities for operational and tactical leadership related to research programs and external engagement. Previously, she served as the Chair of the Department of Management and Organizations.

As an academic researcher, Dr Chika-James works with students, sole proprietors, business professionals, and organizations towards enhancing the learning experience of individuals and the advancement of organizations. She provides research, one-on-one and group training sessions on Organizational Change Management, Organizational Behavioral Analysis and Improvement for Businesses.

Dr Chika-James is certified as an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), now known as AdvancedHE. Her work has been recognized, receiving the 2021 Best Paper Award at the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada Annual Conference (Organizational Behavior Division), the 2021 Insight Development Grant (IDG) from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the 2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award from the African Journal of Management.
